Thanks so much for seeing Quincy and following up on her. Quincy has been responding really well - She said she hasn’t been feeling so terribly anxious at all and is feeling really good with the breathing and things that you took her through.

I had a couple of sessions with Vicki (via Zoom) for my feelings of anxiety around the lockdowns in Melbourne and I was also suffering from insomnia at the time. Vicki was extremely professional and very easy to talk too. Vicki helped me to realise that I could control which thoughts I can focus on and which ones I really don't need too! In my first hypnotherapy session, Vicki was able to shift my anxiety level about birds from very high to moderate. My Therapeutic Approach
I tell my clients that Hypnosis is the technique of guiding the subconscious mind into a peaceful, trance-like state where it is more open to positive suggestions. I advise my clients that I will guide them into a relaxed and focused state (similar to daydreaming) using breath work and guided visualisations/mental imagery (using permissive language), where I’ll give them solution focussed suggests to help them achieve their desired outcomes/reasons for hypnotherapy.

I had covid in early January 2022 and after my iso for ten days I returned to work. I put up with a damaged back for years, debilitating pain all day but agonising by each evening. I've had several sessions with Glenys but after the first one my pain was gone. If it begins to feel a little tight I simply use the Tapping system she taught me and it's fine again. She's a miracle worker and I'm so glad I went to her and grateful for her help. A big shout out to all the smokers out there that have tried to quit smoking without success. After smoking for 30+ years I can actually say, “I am now A NON-SMOKER”, something I never thought I would ever be able to say. Over the years I have tried the patches, tablets and other ideas with no success. It’s so easy to reach for a cigarette every time. A friend of mine suggested Hypnotherapy. I decided I may as well give it a go as I had nothing to lose, not that I really believed in that sort of treatment, but hey…why not try?
I made an appointment with Barossa Hypnotherapy and have not looked back. Thanks so much to Glenys. She was so easy to talk to and the process was so relaxing and so rewarding. After the session you feel like you could conquer the world. You have so much more energy and actually feel good about yourself. I have just finished six sessions with Glenys, Barossa Hypnotherapy and I am thrilled with the way she has helped me. While hypnosis is often described as a sleep-like state, it is better expressed as a state of highly focused awareness and heightened suggestibility. It is this suggestibility that enables us to bypass the conscious mind and talk to the subconscious to reduce or eliminate your issues and make you aware of your chosen solutions on a conscious level.

My Therapeutic Approach
My treatment approach is straightforward and entirely focused on you, the client. It’s common to sometimes feel like you’re somehow broken while others have it all figured out, but rest assured, you’re not alone in this. People generally fall into two categories: those with effective patterns and habits and those struggling with less helpful habitual patterns. Whether these patterns are positive or negative, they result from our habitual thinking and behaviours. The great news is that all learned habits can be unlearned. Right now, you might not know how, but that’s where I come in. It’s a largely unconscious process, and I can guide you through it.
You probably recognise that simply talking about your problems doesn’t necessarily lead to meaningful solutions. That’s where hypnosis or trance-like interventions come in as powerful tools to facilitate lasting change. While you can find countless suggestions on the internet for managing anxiety and worry, many of them focus on temporary relaxation or “feel good” approaches.
These techniques can be helpful in the short term, but they may not equip you to effectively handle future life events that trigger anxiety and overwhelm. What is required in a new way to assess risk? If you are struggling, you are also making up for future catastrophes, many of which are quite unrealistic. This is the pattern that needs to change. It is not about your childhood or your controlling mother. It’s about you. That is the bad news. It’s how you are going about it. AND, that is the good news as well, because you can do something about it.
I will use the same techniques I have taught to hundreds of other therapists, including Counsellors, Hypnotherapists, Psychologists and Psychiatrists, through the Institute of Applied Psychology. The expectation for most presenting issues is anything between 1-4 sessions. I charge $450+GST per hour or $1800+GST for the treatment package.
